A trip about the adults seeing the place with a baby in tow. Sub-zero rules out an everyday pram. Bring an arctic carrier or buggy bag. Most operators offer a free or discounted infant rate.
The sweet spot for Santa-themed packages, and the age most programmes are built around. Reindeer rides, Santa visit, snowmobile passenger sled, tobogganing all work.
Active enough for half-day husky and snowmobile safaris (as passenger). Aurora hunts work if late-evening start times suit. Skiing programmes start to make sense at Levi, Ylläs, Saariselkä.
